Together for the Gospel conference moves into Louisville, KY every other April. For a decade Audio Logic Systems has been a partner in realizing the vision of the event. From 2010’s hand painted set to the 2018 production which included custom furniture and complete AV support, design is always strictly based around conference branding.

The 2018 Together for the Gospel conference loaded into the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, KY on April 10th at 8 AM with sessions beginning on April 11th at 1 PM. With a lot of work to do and not a lot of time to accomplish it, every logistical and technical detail had to be planned out for efficiency. Production at the conference included a completely custom designed set along with full audio, video, and lighting support.

The set design included a custom stage, desk, podium, and ancillary pieces. The centerpiece was a massive 49’x 22’ 5.2mm LED wall that bridged scenic elements with AV functionality. All text and colors were based directly on the conference branding material. From a single person at the podium, to piano led worship, to a seated panel discussion; Whether you were physically in attendance or watching from home, T4G branding was everywhere you looked.

Connecting each seat in the arena with the stage was done using two large scale solutions. The Absen LED wall backdrop displayed live camera images, video rolls, graphics, and artistic material. Full High Definition content was maintained end to end by outputting 4K resolution to the wall from an Analog Way Ascender. Additionally, video distribution was sent to the installed scoreboard LED wall to present an appropriate viewing angle and image size to every seat in the house. We also tied into venue distribution, including arena perimeter displays and lobby LCD monitors.

Audio support included the complete d&b audiotechnik tool set. V-Series and Y-Series line arrays were designed within Array Calc and controlled via the R1 Remote Control Software. Array Processing was deployed to eliminate the need for delay hangs and to optimize the system for natural reinforcement throughout the entire arena. Stage clutter was minimized by intentionally placing small format d&b stage monitors. Additionally, Shure wireless systems and DPA earset microphones were used on all presenters. At the Front-Of-House location sat a DiGiCo SD11 with a Waves Server One for specialized processing.

More than 300 individual light fixtures were used to illuminate T4G in 2018. The design was once again consistent with event branding. Trusted products included the Robe Lighting ROBIN 600 LEDWash and the Chroma-Q Color Force II 72 among others. To allow the talent to better connect with the audience, we designed and temporarily installed dimmable house lighting throughout the entire arena based around ETC conventional fixtures. A GrandMA2 Full Size was in charge of all control.

The entire production came off trucks and was show ready in just over 1 day. More time was not available due to another event in the venue. We had to ensure that the assembly and testing of the LED wall did not stop the rest of production from progressing. We also had complex staging and scenic pieces that required careful planning and implementation. A comprehensive look at all of the production needs allowed this to happen. That work included detailed Vectorworks drawings and renders, careful planning of truck organization, pre-show preparation of equipment, and department teams led by expert technicians.

In the ever changing landscape of live event production, a consistent experience is expected by your in person audience as well as those attending virtually. Together for the Gospel has trusted Audio Logic Systems to bring their brand and message to life since 2010.
