Seminar Description:

A former Twin Cities resident, Michael Klaers now maintains a mostly vacant residence in Santa Barbara, California while traveling widely performing his mostly stupid lighting tricks for theatres, including Idaho Shakespeare Festival,
Florida Studio Theatre, Milwaukee Repertory Theater, Great Lakes Theater Festival, Shakespeare Festival of St. Louis, Shakespeare Santa Cruz, Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts, Missouri Repertory Theatre, Indiana Repertory Theatre, the Guthrie Theater, Madison Repertory Theatre, The Cricket Theatre, Mixed Blood Theatre and many others.

Michael is an addicted VectorWorks Spotlight user. He has taught the software to theatre designers, architects, and landscape architects. He runs the Santa Barbara Vectorworks User Group and is a VW reseller. What a geek.

“Back in the day,” Michael designed the original Triple Espresso, and has designed every production of it since. Which is pretty much the only reason he’s allowed in the door at ALS.
